  3.      This is where you decide which conferences  you wish to extract
  4.      mail from. When you entered Markmail the first time, you had no
  5.      conferences selected. Therefore you must select the conferences
  6.      you wish to extract messages from if you wish to receive any
  7.      messages.

  9.      When choosing the [S]elect conferences option, you're provided
  10.      a list of the first thirty conferences in the bbs. To select a
  11.      conference simply enter its number. If you press <enter> alone
  12.      Markmail will display the NEXT 30 conferences.  If you enter a
  13.      number that is not being displayed, Markmail will now automat-
  14.      ically display a new page of conferences containing the number
  15.      you had entered.

  17.      When you choose a conference by entering its number, Markmail
  18.      displays a sub menu like this one:

  20.   Selected Conference: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx     Currently: Not Selected

  22.   High Message Number: xxxxx    Select [N]one, [A]ll, [Y]our,
  23.     Last Read Pointer: xxxxx    or [YA] for Yours and TO: ALL ?

  25.      You then choose one of the four options based on how much mail you
  26.      wish to extract out of this conference.
  27.      Here are the options in detail:

  29. [N]one - Deselects this conference, removes it from your list
  30. [A]ll  - Tells Markmail to extract ALL messages
  31. [Y]our - Extracts only messages sent to YOU
  32. [YA]   - Extracts messages only to YOU and to ALL

  34.      Once you have decided which of the above you wish, enter the
  35.      selection followed by <enter>, and Markmail will display the
  36.      submenu shown here:

  38.  High Message Number: xxxxx          Input New Pointer
  39.    Last Read Pointer: xxxxx          or [Enter] for no change?

  41.      Markmail displays the highest message in the conference, and
  42.      displays the last message you have read in the conference, and
  43.      asks you for a new pointer.  By default, Markmail leaves your
  44.      pointer alone, and will extract all mail since then.  If you wish
  45.      less mail, enter a number higher than your current pointer.  If
  46.      you wish more, enter a number lower than your current pointer.
  47.      CAUTION should be used when entering a pointer.  If you have not
  48.      read any messages in this conference before now, or if you
  49.      haven't read any messages in a while, Markmail is likely to
  50.      extract an enormous number of messages from this conference.  A
  51.      good rule of thumb is to set your pointer to the high message
  52.      number minus 100.
